Accrington Stanley piled the pressure on Port Vale boss Jim Gannon with a straightforward 3-0 win.
Sean McConville put Stanley ahead when he received Ian Craney's clever back-heel and fired in.
Craney then stroked home a bobbling ball for 2-0 after Vale's Sean Rigg was sent off for elbowing Phil Edwards.
Andy Proctor stabbed home a third when Stuart Tomlinson could only parry Sean Hessey's free kick, as shouts of 'Gannon out' rang from the away end.
Port Vale captain Marc Richards told BBC Radio Stoke: "The lads are obviously disappointed having lost 3-0, but the scenes you saw at the end are scenes you don't want to see at a football match.
"Ex [defender Exodus Geohaghon] is getting a lot of stick at the moment for whatever reason.
"You see fans throwing abuse at players and it's only natural for a player to react and want to have his say."
