Pope had publicly stated his desire to stay on at Port Vale

Port Vale's on-loan striker Tom Pope has extended his stay from parent club Rotherham United for another month.

The 25-year-old, who has made four starts and two appearances off the bench since his move to Vale Park, will be subject to a 24-hour recall.

Pope, who is a Port Vale fan, scored both goals in the 2-1 League Two win over Bradford City earlier this month.

Pope became Rotherham's record signing when he joined from Crewe Alex for £150,000 in 2009.
