Port Vale set to sign Lewis Haldane from Bristol Rovers
Lewis Haldane has been told he can leave Bristol Rovers in January
Port Vale are close to completing the permanent signing of Bristol Rovers striker Lewis Haldane in January.
The 24-year-old, who played 20 times in a loan spell at Vale Park earlier this season, has been training with the club since his loan expired on 1 December.
Port Vale manager Micky Adams told BBC Radio Stoke: "We've agreed terms with Lewis and he's happy to stay.
"It's up to him, his agent and his club to come to some sort of severance package that suits all parties."
Adams continued: "We're hoping that it will be done in the next couple of days."
Haldane signed for the League Two team on loan in September and scored one goal in his three months at Vale Park.
