Former Port Vale manager Lee Sinnott has announced he is to take legal action against the Valiants.
Sinnott, who was sacked by the League Two side in September, was appointed as manager of Unibond Premier Division side Bradford Park Avenue on Friday.
Sinnott told the Park Avenue website: "On Friday, 17 January, Port Vale FC again failed to meet a legal deadline.
"After consulting my legal representatives I feel I have no option but to proceed with court action."
Sinnott added that his decision to take the job at Bradford Park Avenue was made after Friday's legal deadline had passed.
