Brown made seven appearances in his initial loan spell at Vale Park

Port Vale have completed the signing of midfielder Scott Brown from League One side Cheltenham Town.

Brown, 23, initially moved to Vale Park on loan in November, making seven appearances and scoring once.

The former Bristol City man has now agreed to join the Valiants after his contract with Cheltenham expired.

He had returned to Whaddon Road, but now goes straight into the Vale squad for Saturday's League Two clash at Exeter City.
