Port Vale defender Sam Stockley has said Valiants supporters have yet to see the best of him.
The 31-year-old is club captain at Vale Park but has had be content with a place on the bench in recent weeks.
He told BBC Radio Stoke: "I think that Port Vale haven't seen the best of me yet, but I believe they will because I'm really happy here.
"I'm just waiting for my next opportunity and, when it comes, I will take it with both hands."
Stockley, who moved to Vale Park from Wycombe Wanderers in July, was handed the captain's armband by then manager Lee Sinnott.

However Sinnott has since been replaced by Dean Glover and Stockley has found himself out of the starting XI for the Vale's last four fixtures.
"When an obstacle is put in front of me I work even harder to overcome it," said Stockley.
"My attitude has been spot on and I'm confident that I will take my chance when it comes.
"I've got at least 18 months left at Port Vale and I want to prove that my best football is ahead of me."
