Bill Bratt took over as Port Vale chairman in 2003
Port Vale chairman Bill Bratt says rumours that he has received an offer for the club are 'rubbish'.
He told BBC Radio Stoke: "We are talking to people about possible investment but rumours that we've received an offer are pure rubbish.
"The amount of lies surrounding the club at the minute is unbelievable."
Bratt has previously stated that he feels he has taken the club as far as he can and would sell if the right offer were to be made.
Bratt came under fire from some sections of the Vale fans following the sacking of manager Lee Sinnott.
However, new boss Dean Glover has won his first two matches since officially being appointed manager and Bratt now hopes that all the Vale supporters will get behind the team.
"Everyone within the club is doing their best," he said. "But unfortunately there are a lot of trouble-makers on the outside.
"These people don't help the team but, if we can keep performing on the pitch, then we will keep answering our critics."
