New Port Vale signing Louis Dodds has said he will score goals whether he plays in attack or midfield.
The 21-year-old, who joined from Leicester on Monday, is a striker by trade but had some success in midfield whilst on loan at Lincoln last season.
Dodds told BBC Radio Stoke: "If I play in midfield I'll be looking for 10 goals, I got nine last year.
"I do like to have a shot on goal so if there is a slight opening then I will hit one."
Dodds, who has become manager Lee Sinnott's seventh signing of the summer, said he has already been impressed by what he has seen at Vale Park and thinks the Valiants will be strong contenders for promotion.
"If we get a good start there won't be many teams able to stop us," he said.
"If that happens then we will be pushing for the play-offs or maybe even automatic promotion."
