Whitaker scored 7 goals from midfield last season

Port Vale midfielder Danny Whitaker must decide on Tuesday if he is going sign a new contract at the club.

The 27-year-old has been offered two new deals by the club but is hoping for better terms.

Vale boss Lee Sinnott is keen for Whitaker to stay, but claims it will not affect his plans if he leaves.

Sinnott told BBC Radio Stoke: "Hopefully he'll stay, but if he doesn't we have been looking at potential targets."
