Port Vale youngster Simon Richman has agreed a new contract that secures his future with the Valiants.

The 17-year-old was part of the team that made the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup and has made three first-team appearances so far this season.

"I've accepted a contract, I want to be here next season and I want to play for this football club," said Richman.

"Its been disappointing getting relegated but I want to help us bounce straight back up."
