Port Vale have appointed former Farsley Celtic boss Lee Sinnott as their new manager after he signed a two-and-a-half year contract. Sinnott, 42, left his position at Blue Square Premier outfit Farsley after leading the Celts to three promotions in four seasons.
He takes over management duties at Vale Park from caretaker boss Dean Glover ahead of Tuesday's match against Crewe.
"I am delighted and honoured to become the Port Vale manager," said Sinnott.
"It is already obvious to me there is a great deal of pride and passion among the Vale supporters and it my aim to bring them success.
"I play a style of football that wins games. I will change systems and players to achieve the right results."
Chairman Bill Bratt said: "We believe we have attracted one of the best up-and-coming young managers in the game.
"His track record in non-league football is excellent and we are delighted to give him his first job in league football.
"We hope this is the dawn of a new era at the club."
