Plymouth Argyle's parent company has survived an attempt to have it wound up in the High Court.

A winding-up petition against Plymouth Argyle Football Company (Holdings) Limited for unpaid tax has been dismissed as the debt has been paid.

No details of the amount owed by the company to HM Revenue & Customs were given at Wednesday's hearing.

The club is due back in court next month to face further winding-up petitions from HMRC.

Plymouth Argyle Football Company Limited and Home Park Properties Limited have been given until 9 February to clear tax debts of around £500,000 in total.

Peter Ridsdale, football consultant to the Plymouth board, has told BBC Sport that this debt has now been paid.

The club does still owe HMRC a further £500,000 in unpaid tax, although this money is not part of the winding-up petitions, as it has been accrued since they were initially presented.
