Plymouth Argyle have confirmed that Spurs' midfielder Dean Parrett's loan spell with the club has ended early.
The 18-year-old originally signed a season-long deal, but has now returned to his parent club.
Argyle boss Peter Reid said: "Tim Sherwood [Tottenham coach] and I agreed that the boy's best interests would be served by returning.
"I'd like to thank Spurs for allowing Dean to come here and wish him all the best for his future career."
Parrett, who made 10 appearances during his time at Home Park, scored the opening goal in Argyle's 3-1 win over Bristol Rovers last Tuesday.
However, the young midfielder was sent off shortly before half-time in Plymouth's 4-0 home defeat by Swindon in the FA Cup on Saturday.
He signed a new three year contract at White Hart Lane in August this year.
