Plymouth director Keith Todd hints at adding to squad
Todd has been a director at Plymouth since July
Plymouth Argyle executive director Keith Todd has hinted that the club will strengthen their squad during the January transfer window.
"It's certainly very possible," Todd told BBC Radio Devon.
"Paul [Mariner] and I talk regularly and he had a full discussion with the board during this week's board meeting, so watch this space."
Todd made the comments following the publication of the club's five-year plan on Thursday.
The plan contains details of investment in the team over a number of different areas including training facilities, youth development and expanding the club's scouting network.
Todd said: "In time it will also include the opportunity to bring in new players to strengthen the squad."
Promotion to the Premier League is the first objective of the club's plan.
But with the Pilgrims currently threatened by relegation from the Championship, the immediate goal at Home park is to avoid dropping into the third tier of English football.
And Todd is confident Plymouth already have the basis of a team that can stave off relegation.
He added: "The reality is we've got a committed team.
"We've got a team with a lot of skill, we've made mistakes and nobody's going to hide behind that fact. But the team which is there is capable of taking us much further up the Championship."
