Paul Sturrock made four changes in the second-half
Plymouth Argyle were held to a goalless draw at home by Scottish Premier League side Hearts on Wednesday.
Both sides toiled valiantly for the 90 minutes but chances on goal were few and far between.
Argyle striker Bradley Wright-Phillips looked lively throughout, but lacked the finishing touch in the box.
Recent signing, Kari Arnason, featured on the right side of midfield for the Pilgrims, but there was no place for defender Reda Johnson.
The home side edged possession in both periods but the Hearts defence held firm.
In attack, the Scottish club rarely troubled Romain Larrieu's goal, with their best chance an Ian Black volley from the edge of the area shortly after the break that forced the Plymouth keeper into a save.
Plymouth manager, Paul Sturrock, made four changes in the second-half with Rory Fallon, Chris Clark, Karl Duguid and Craig Noone all coming on.
Argyle are next in action on Saturday as they travel to Swindon Town.
