Plymouth Argyle have announced that the club will face Swindon Town in a pre-season friendly on 1 August 2009.
Swindon ended last season 15th in League One and have several close connections with the Pilgrims.
Plymouth's manager Paul Sturrock was in charge at the County Ground between July 2006 and November 2007.
And former Argyle player David Byrne also managed the club on a temporary basis last season, filling in between Maurice Malpas and Danny Wilson.
Plymouth have also confirmed that they will host a home friendly on Wednesday, 29 July against an as yet unnamed European side.
