Sturrock only had seven home wins with Plymouth last season
Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Sturrock has said winning home games is his top priority following the release of next season's fixture list.
Plymouth are away to Crystal Palace on the opening weekend of the Championship, before facing QPR and Cardiff at home.
Sturrock said: "We have got to make Home Park a difficult place for people to come to.
"It was too welcoming at times last season, and that cost us dear."
Plymouth lost 11 games at home last season as they finished just one place and five points above the relegation zone.
The one fixture that many Argyle fans have been eagerly sizing up is the trip to newly-relegated Newcastle United on 19 September, with Sturrock saying the match has a "wee tasty look to it".
The Scot added: "In a way it doesn't matter when you play these teams, you have got to play them all, home and away, at some point.
"The Championship is one of the best and strongest leagues in the world and we have got 46 contests to relish."
