Wales midfielder Carl Fletcher admits he is not surprised to have been released by Championship side Crystal Palace.
Fletcher, 29, made just six substitute appearances for Palace this season but played 13 times for Plymouth where he has been on loan since February.
"It's part and parcel of football these days," Fletcher told the Back Page.
"I knew I wasn't getting a contract about 18 months ago, so it is no great shock to me."
He added: "It's time for agents to earn their money so to speak.

"I've been playing the last couple of months at Plymouth and every game you play is a shop window.
"At the end of the day, you never know who's watching."
