Plymouth Argyle admit they do not know how long star winger Peter Halmosi's knee injury will keep him out for.
The Hungarian international was carried off during last Saturday's 1-1 draw with Watford and missed his country's midweek friendly against Slovenia.
Having been red carded in the same incident, he was suspended anyway for this Saturday's trip to Coventry.
But Argyle boss Paul Sturrock said: "We'll assess it all when the specialists have looked at the scans.
He told BBC Radio Devon: "It is difficult to know how serious the injury is until the swelling goes down.
"I wouldn't envisage any decision being made on Peter before Tuesday or Wednesday."
Argyle's next game is the Championship clash with Charlton Athletic at Home Park on Saturday week.
