Plymouth ban two fans for racism

Plymouth Argyle

Plymouth have banned two supporters from all home games for making racist remarks towards Watford players and staff during Saturday's 1-1 draw.

In a statement the club said the decision followed an internal inquiry into events at Home Park which included evidence from Plymouth supporters.

Argyle have also decided to put an exclusion zone behind the visitors' dug-out at Home Park.

The two supporters were sitting in the area when the incident occurred.

The club's chief executive Michael Dunford said: "We have excluded people for racism before and had no hesitation in taking this action once we satisfied ourselves of Saturday's events.

"I would like to thank the Argyle supporters who came forward to identify the culprits.

"The club have also said they will be writing to the Football Association about a number of events that happened during the game."
