Transfer-listed Plymouth striker Cherno Samba has returned to Home Park after failing to impress Wycombe Wanderers during a trial spell there. Samba, 22, will continue to train with Argyle, and boss Ian Holloway told his club's website: "He has got a contract until the end of the season.
"Hopefully he will find something in January, as he did not want us to pay him up and not have a job to come to.
"I can't believe they (Wycombe) did not think he was good enough for them."
Samba has started just two first-team games since signing for Plymouth in the summer of 2006, and was loaned out to Wrexham last season.
