Plymouth have clinched the signing of striker Cherno Samba and Dutch defender Marcel Seip after the pair impressed while on trial at Home Park. Samba, 20, has signed a two-year-deal, while Seip, 24, has agreed a short-term deal until January next year.
Seip joins Ian Holloway's side after leaving Heerenveen.
Meanwhile, Samba - once rated as one of England's brightest young talents - is hoping to get his career on track after being released by Spanish side Cadiz.
He has played at all youth levels for England, and started off at Millwall.
But after being released by the Lions, he has had trials at Coventry, Leeds and West Brom before joining Cadiz.
Holloway told Plymouth's website: "Seip's not the 'Beast' that I'm looking for but he looks a good defender.
"Cherno is hungry, he's enjoyed being with us so far, and he's added to the team when he's played - every time."
Argyle have also signed goalkeeper Lloyd Saxton and winger Damien McCrory, both 16, as apprentices.
