Liam Dickinson cautious on Peterborough United future
Dickinson is contracted to Brighton until 2012
Peterborough United's Liam Dickinson says he will not be rushed into making a decision regarding his future.
The 24-year-old Brighton striker has enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at Posh but has yet to commit to the club.
He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I've had chats with Barry Fry and the gaffer but to be honest I want to concentrate on the end of the season.
"The gaffer's made me aware that the club want to sign me. He seems happy with my performances."
Dickinson found himself out of favour at League One Brighton earlier in the season but settled in quickly for Posh in the Championship after a loan move in February.
The striker has scored three times in eight starts at London Road and admits it has been good to get games under his belt.
"At Brighton I was playing well but I wasn't scoring goals and as a striker you need to be scoring goals," he said.
"I want to be playing games and as soon as the move came up to go to Posh on loan I snapped their hands off."
Dickinson has two years remaining on his contract at the Withdean Stadium meaning Peterborough would have to stump up a transfer fee for his services.
You might be a good player but if he doesn't like the way you play, you might not be the kind of player the gaffer's after.

But the former Derby player is just happy to be in a position of security, especially in the light of the clearout undertaken by Posh boss Gary Johnson.
He said: "Some players are thinking they're out of the door because of the new manager, but you're always going to get that with a new manager.
"You might be a good player but if he doesn't like the way you play, you might not be the kind of player the gaffer's after.
"Everyone's just looking forward to getting the last game of the season out of the way and having a break over the summer."
