Peterborough United have signed Tottenham winger Danny Rose on loan until January 2010.
Rose, 19, joined Spurs from Leeds United in 2006 and spent time on loan at Watford last season.
Rose told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I was on my way to Doncaster, but Darren Ferguson persuaded me to come to Peterborough instead.
"He is a family friend and a young, up-and-coming manager and I was really keen to work with him."
Rose is also an England Under-21 international and was part of this summer's European Championship squad.
"I don't mind playing wherever, but I do like to get forward, create chances and score goals," he said.
He will compete with the likes of Shaun Batt, Chris Whelpdale, Dominic Green and Tommy Rowe for a place in the Posh side.
