Peterborough United midfielder Lee Frecklington has said he hopes to be handed his first league start of the season against Crystal Palace.
The 23-year-old scored against Ipswich in the Carling Cup on Tuesday.
Frecklington told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Every footballer wants to play week-in, week-out, but that's not always going to be the case.
"I did alright against Ipswich so hopefully I'll get another game on Monday against Palace."
Frecklington started in central midfield alongside Toumani Diagouraga in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Ipswich.
"It's ideal for the way I play to have someone willing to sweep up behind me," he said.
"He's exceptional at breaking play up and playing that holding role."

Boss Darren Ferguson has decisions to make all over the field with Posh still searching for their first league win of the season.
Tommy Williams could come in at left-back in place of Charlie Lee after recovering from injury.
Frecklington is confident a first league success is just around the corner.
"We know we can compete at this level, it's just a case of putting it into practice," he said.
Meanwhile, midfielder Sam Gaughran has joined Grays Athletic on an initial one-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old is yet to make a senior appearance for Posh.
