Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony is set to oversee the next stage of his London Road master plan by leading the club to the Premier League.

Posh return to the second tier of English football on Saturday as they face Derby County at Pride Park, and MacAnthony is full of confidence.

He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Derby won't tell me if we're good enough, I already know we are.

"Whatever the result people will have to calm down."

MacAnthony became the club's owner in 2006 and has since then vowed to take Peterborough all the way to the Premier League.

Along with manager Darren Ferguson he has overseen two back-to-back promotions and now has every intention of achieving a third.

"Top ten would be a good season. I think if we're in the top ten by January we can get promoted because we do so well in the second half of the season," he added.

"To see us go up and struggle wouldn't be good for anyone and I don't think it's going to happen."
