Posh signing plans to make impact

London Road
Braham-Barrett arrived at London Road from non-league Welling United

New Peterborough United left-back Craig Braham-Barrett intends to push Tommy Williams for a place in the side over the coming weeks.

The 20-year-old former Welling man last week signed a deal keeping him at Posh until 2010.

He told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "I've been told to [expect to wait till] towards Christmas time, but I've always been a person who pushes on.

"So I'm hoping [to get involved] within the next two or three weeks."

Braham-Barrett began his career with Charlton before dropping down to Welling United in the Blue Square South.

Posh have picked up players including George Boyd, Aaron Mclean and Craig Mackail-Smith from non-league sides in recent seasons and Braham-Barrett believes he will prove another excellent find for boss Darren Ferguson.

"I'm a confident player," he said. "I do like to bomb on and I've got a great delivery, so hopefully I can bring something new to the team."
