An Oxford United fan has joined the club's commercial department as a direct result of discussions held with supporters by the club's chairman.
Lifelong supporter David Jackson will work on a voluntary basis, offering his services to help promote the club and to bring in revenue.
Jackson has already met up with new chairman Kelvin Thomas.
"I came in and talked to Kelvin last week," he revealed. "It was clear that our ideas overlapped in so many areas."
Thomas added: "He impressed me then and when he came in last week it was obvious he had a passion for the club, great commercial experience and wanted to help."
Thomas admitted earlier this month that the club has short-term financial problems and has had difficulty paying the rent at the Kassam Stadium.
Meanwhile, United are offering their fans the chance to get right behind their club with a new scheme.
The "Lucky Seven" pass, available until the end of the month, is effectively a seven-game season ticket which can be used at any match, with an eighth game free.
