Murray joined Oxford from Macclesfield in January

Oxford United captain Adam Murray says his side are ready to make amends for an embarrassing opening defeat to newly promoted Barrow.

The U's went lost 3-0 to the Cumbrians, and Murray told BBC Oxford that the game can't come soon enough.

"For me I would have played on Saturday if I could have. It has been the most frustrating few days ever.

"You are hyped up for the first game and then perform like that. It's lucky that we have games to put it right."
