Oxford United loan signing Michael Howard has stressed his desire to earn a permanent deal at the Kassam Stadium. The 29-year-old Morecambe defender has extended his short-term deal until the end of the season but has his sights on a long-term contract with United.
"I let the manager know my feelings," Howard told BBC Radio Oxford.
"It's up to Morecambe really, I'd love to stay. I'm playing regular football and the last thing I want is to go back and not to play," he added.
