Oxford manager Jim Smith praised his side's battling qualities as they claimed a late winner at Crawley on Monday night. The 1-0 win sent them six points clear at the top of the Conference table.
"They were unlucky really, but we have done this a few times," Smith said. "We dug in and then got an unbelievable strike from Matty (Day).
"When you are winning games team spirit keeps you going. We had to come here and battle and that's what they did."
