Oldham Athletic have confirmed they have received an approach from Scunthorpe United for Chris Taylor.
The 24-year-old Oldham-born midfielder has worked his way through the youth system and made 221 appearances, scoring 27 goals for the Latics.
Player-manager Paul Dickov told the club website: "He is an Oldham lad, is happy here and enjoying his football.
"Chris is one of our better players and for somebody to take him it would have to be a very good price."
