Rochdale have signed Oldham striker Deane Smalley on a one-month loan.
The 22-year-old came through the youth system at Boundary Park and is recovering from a serious back injury as well as groin and pelvic problems.
Smalley has found first-team opportunities limited with the Latics this season after being restricted to three substitute appearances.
The forward, who can also play out wide, has made 120 club appearances at Oldham scoring 11 goals.
