Oldham Athletic have announced that Sean Gregan will remain captain for the forthcoming season.
The 36-year-old defender joined Oldham in January 2007 and was appointed captain last year under previous manager Dave Penney.
Gregan however is a major doubt for the season opener as he looks to regain fitness from an ankle injury.
Player-manager Paul Dickov confirmed that centre-back Reuben Hazell will act as Gregan's vice-captain this term.
