Kabba signed for Watford for �750,000 from Sheffield United

Oldham Athletic have ended Steve Kabba's loan spell early after Latics manager Joe Royle informed the striker he is no longer in his plans.

The Watford player, 28, was due to stay at Boundary Park until the end of the current season.

Royle told the club website: "I sat down with Steven this morning and told him I wanted to look at other options.

"He was not going to figure in my team before the end of the season so it's best for all parties he returns."

Kabba failed to score in eight appearances for the Latics.
