Westlake made 26 appearances for Cheltenham, scoring twice
Oldham Athletic have signed Cheltenham Town midfielder Ian Westlake on loan until the end of the season.
The move sees the 25-year-old team up again with Latics boss Joe Royle, who he previously played under at Ipswich.
Westlake came through the ranks at Portman Road and made 125 appearances before joining Leeds in August 2006.
He joined Cheltenham permanently in January following a successful loan spell, but has been allowed to leave because of their financial problems.
Westlake's arrival at Boundary Park is Royle's second signing since taking over from John Sheridan as manager, following the loan capture of Ipswich goalkeeper Shane Supple.
