O'Grady scored 11 goals for the Millers last season
Oldham have signed 22-year-old striker Chris O'Grady from League Two side Rotherham for an undisclosed fee.
O'Grady becomes the Latics' third summer signing after the arrival of Kieran Lee from Manchester United and Greg Fleming from Gretna.
"I could have gone to another League One club but that wasn't right for me or my family," the former Leicester forward told the club website.
"I'm glad to be able to move up a level and join a big club like Oldham."
O'Grady finished as Rotherham's joint top scorer with 11 goals last season after moving from the Foxes for 65,000 in January 2007.
"I have got a physical build and I can play that kind of game if necessary but I want people to know I can do more than that," he said.
"Working with strikers like Craig Davies and Lee Hughes will be good for me and I'm looking forward to testing myself and showing everyone what I can do."
