Oldham goalkeeper Les Pogliacomi has been ruled out for a further three months following more knee surgery. The 31-year-old has not played for the Latics this season because of a succession of injuries.
He had an operation to clean out his knee in the summer, but needed further surgery and that recently which revealed a series of micro-fractures.
Pogliacomi, loaned out to Blackpool last season, must rest before starting his programme of rehabilitation.
He last started for the Latics in the first leg of their play-off semi-final against Blackpool in May before the problem first flared up.
Pogliacomi subsequently struggled with a thigh injury and then the knee injury resurfaced.
