Notts County given extra time to settle unpaid tax bill

Notts County

Notts County have been given a further 28 days to pay debts of £324,000 to HM Revenue & Customs or they will face a winding-up petition.

Notts were given the extension after the High Court heard on Wednesday that the club are about to receive a £5m cash injection.

Owner Peter Trembling and director of football Sven-Goran Eriksson have been talking to investors since December.

And the investment deal was finally agreed on Tuesday.

But the terms of the investment, and the identity of the investor, will remain confidential until final due diligence is completed within the next 28 days.
