MacKenzie joined County last season after leaving Scunthorpe

Notts County midfielder Neil MacKenzie is to leave the club after his contract was cancelled by mutual agreement.

The 32-year-old, who has been on loan at Kidderminster Harriers and Port Vale this season, has been linked to a move to non-league Burton Albion.

He was signed by Steve Thompson at the start of last season but has struggled to keep a regular first-team place at Meadow Lane this season.

MacKenzie has made 38 appearances for the Magpies, scoring six goals.
