Notts County striker Ben Fairclough has signed a new deal to stay at Meadow Lane until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old joined the Magpies on a short-term deal in August after impressing in a pre-season trial.

The forward has made four appearances, the last of which was in September, and has yet to score a goal.

Manager Ian McParland told the club website he wanted to see the young player force his way into the first team before May.

McParland's side face Exeter at home in League Two on Saturday.
