Johnson has helped Notts to a nine-match unbeaten run

Notts County defender Michael Johnson is facing a race against time to be fit to face Macclesfield at the weekend.

The 35-year-old is suffering from badly bruised toes following an incident towards the end of Monday night's home draw against Brentford.

Manager Ian McParland told BBC Radio Nottingham: "I don't know if Johnno will make it or not, it's a blow for us because of our small squad."

The former Derby man has been ever-present in the Magpies league campaign.
