Strachan missed most of last season with various injuries

Notts County will be without midfielder Gavin Strachan for the first few weeks of the season.

Strachan has suffered a recurrence of the hamstring injury which he picked up in February.

The 29-year-old only managed seven appearances between joining Notts in January and the end of the season, as a result of hamstring and knee injuries.

He has definitely been ruled out of the Magpies' opening match against Bradford and may not return until September.
