Notts County have completed the signing of midfielder Gavin Strachan on an 18-month deal after his contract at Peterborough was cancelled. The 29-year-old Scot did not start a league game for Posh this season and his contract was terminated by mutual consent on Tuesday.
Magpies boss Ian McParland told the club's official website: "I am delighted he has chosen to join us.
"He had other offers. I'm sure he will become a valuable squad member."
The son of Celtic boss Gordon had been strongly linked to Blue Square Premier side Oxford United.
