Notts County boss Steve Thompson slammed his players and vowed to make changes for the visit of Macclesfield following the 1-0 defeat to Hartlepool. He said: "The first half was rubbish and the worst since I've been here - I can offer no excuses - we were awful.
"In the second half we were pretty much camped in their half, but we didn't create chances which is disappointing.
"They know they didn't do themselves justice and there will be one or two changes for Saturday now.
