Perch was Forest's captain last season

Nottingham Forest defender James Perch's long-awaited return to action has been delayed because of a minor injury setback.

The 24-year-old had been expected to make his comeback from a serious shin injury in a friendly against Coventry at the City Ground on Tuesday

But had to pull out of the game after suffering an injury during training.

Perch suffered a stress fracture in his shin at the end of last season and has not played since.
