Nottingham Forest will be without leading scorer Dexter Blackstock for around two weeks.
The 23-year-old striker limped off against Barnsley with a strained medial knee ligament, adding to manager Billy Davies' injury concerns.
Davies is also monitoring the progress of fellow strikers Nathan Tyson and Robert Earnshaw.
Tyson injured his ankle in the Barnsley game, while Earnshaw has missed the last two games with a calf problem.
Those injuries could give chances to the likes of Dele Adebola and Joe Garner, whose appearances up front have been restricted this season.
French midfielder Guy Moussi will also miss the trip to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace after being sent-off for a second bookable offence against Barnsley.
That second offence was over-celebrating his injury-time winner against Barnsley, which was his first goal for the club.
