Davies was keen to restore Wilson to the heart of his injury-hit defence

Nottingham Forest defender Kelvin Wilson has been ruled out for six weeks after suffering another ankle injury.

Wilson, who missed the start of the season with an ankle problem picked up in pre-season against Notts County, was nearing a first-team return.

But the 23-year-old was injured during training on Wednesday.

Boss Billy Davies told BBC Radio Nottingham: "It was a very unfortunate incident. It's disappointing to have him out because he was so close."
