McGugan was injured 25 minutes into his first league start of the season
Nottingham Forest are set to be without midfielder Lewis McGugan for up to six weeks after he fractured a cheekbone in Tuesday's home defeat against Watford.
The 20-year-old will have surgery next week once the swelling on the left side of his face has gone down.
McGugan was hurt during a collision with goalkeeper Scott Loach and will be out for a minimum of four weeks.
Forest are already without midfielder Guy Moussi and defenders James Perch, Julian Bennett and Kelvin Wilson.
And McGugan has been told he will have to wear a protective mask for two months when he does return.
