Moussi has impressed in Forest's pre-season campaign so far

Nottingham Forest manager Colin Calderwood thinks new signing Guy Moussi could become a driving force in the team's midfield next season.

The 23-year-old Frenchman joined from Angers this summer and Calderwood has been impressed with his attitude.

"He could be a vital component to us," Calderwood told BBC Radio Nottingham. "He certainly looks as if he might improve us in the midfield area."

"I think we'll see a real benefit having Guy at the club."

As an individual, he's a joy to work with

Colin Calderwood
has signed a three year deal at the City Ground which will keep him at the club until 2011.

He spent the past six years at Angers in the French second division and Calderwood has been impressed with how quickly the midfielder has found his feet at his new club:

"He's a terrific boy; it's fantastic how he very quickly he learns the practices and the rules. He's learning English two or three times a week at the club, he's really settled in incredibly well.

"As a man and an individual, he's a joy to work with."
